History 

The Council on Aging was formed in the early 1960’s to provide information and referral services for older adults

in Elkhart County. Today, the Council has grown from being a volunteer run organization offering a single

service, to become an integral part of the Elkhart County Communities providing over a dozen services to help

older adults remain in their homes.
